In a bid to strengthen the functionality of Emergency Medical Services in the province, Hon MEC Sindiswa Gomba handed over ambulances to the Joe Gqabi Health District on the 17th of October 2019 during her two day visit to the area.
This follows another handover of 16 vehicles to the Sarah Baartman District in less than a week.
Speaking to the EMS personnel in Joe Gqabi the MEC urged them to look after the vehicles, and to work closely with communities. “These ambulances will now be left in your care, it is then your duty to ensure they are in a proper condition” MEC Gomba pleaded.
